gecko-mediaplayer software package provides Multimedia plug-in for Gecko browsers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gecko-mediaplayer
gecko-mediaplayer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gecko-mediaplayer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gecko-mediaplayer *
You will get with gecko-mediaplayer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
